Wii Games Review
We Absolutely Love to Play Wii and Other Games

We bought a Wii
the first day it was available, November 19, 2006.
Unfortunately it was for friends who had done us a big favor, not for
ourselves. Turns out it was easier to buy a Wii on day one in New
Hampshire than in North Carolina, and we were happy to help out friends
Rhys and Liam.
So what's a Wii? It's a 7th generation video game console from Nintendo that let's you play games on the TV, and what distinguishes it from other game consoles is the Wii Remote, a wireless control that's a pointing device and that detects motion in all three dimensions. Another cool feature is WiiConnect24, which handles the Internet, and even lets it get updates and messages when it's not in use (when it's in standby mode).
The Wii is in the lead currently against competing game consoles like Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3. They're all pretty cool, but we love our Wii.
So, if the first Wii wasn't for us. How did we get a Wii?
Well, our mother decided that she wanted one. Probably to play Wii Fit
to be healthy or some other adult type silliness, although she loves
other Wii games too. Our dad doesn't play the Wii much, but you can have
fun just watching others play, and little sister Stacie watches a lot
and it's fun.
On this Web site, we review Wii games - not just from our experience, but we get input from lots of places.
The Wii plays not only Wii games, but all (official) Nintendo GameCube games too. Our dad says the Wii is "the direct successor" to the Nintendo GameCube, whatever that means.
So, why is it called "Wii" ? Well, "Wii" is pronounced "we" which is
pretty easy to say in just about any language. Also, "we" kind of
implies it's for everyone, from 5 year old Stacie, 6 year old Amelia, 9
year old Jamie, and really old Mom and really old but immature and silly
Dad too!
