Wii Games Cheap - How to get them

Wii Games are expensive, and most range from $40 to $90, although some downloadable single games many only be $10. Many people spend literally thousands of dollars on Nintendo Wii Games over time, but there are ways to get Wii games cheap especially if you’re willing to do a little more work, and these approaches also work for other games like Nintendo DS, Playstation 2 and 3, PSP and XBOX360.

One quick tip for Wii games is to try before you buy – either a friends or a rental, and many places rent Wii games.

Another option is buying used Wii games. There are several places you can look for used, and hence much less expensive, Wii games.

Some video game stores sell used Wii games. We have several local options and you probably do too.
You can also try eBay for used games. There are lots of games available on eBay, but beware of absurd shipping changes. We’ve seen games go for US$10 with $8 charges for shipping! Absurd! Sometimes you can avoid or minimize this by bidding on sets of games on eBay. The per game shipping averages out fairly low typically.
Craigslist is our favorite for cheap Wii games. We bought Celebrity Sports Showdown and MLB Power Pros for only $5 each, with local pickup, meaning no shipping charges. Be careful of course when meeting people from Craigslist to buy games. Dad wasn’t too happy when some guy wanted to meet Mom at midnight in a parking lot to sell her two games for example! She ended up buying the games the next day, meeting Joe RandomDude at the mall the next morning.
